These were better than the Bucky eye shades I also purchased, with the exception if you are sleeping outside. The Bucky’s did keep out more sun-light but indoors I couldn’t tell a difference. For comfort and relaxation while sleeping indoors the Sweet Dreams was better. It was also much cheaper ($11.79 w/shipping to Bucky $31.34 w/shipping). I found the Bucky’s still applied a little pressure on my eyes where the Sweet Dreams mask did not. The Sweet Dreams also stayed on better when I layed on my side.

I have very light sensitive eyes, and have used sleep masks for 30 years.I decided to try something new on an upcoming vacation. This sleep mask did the trick. No moving off my eyes during sleep, no squashed nose, just a great night’s sleep. Fast service, good price.

As a shiftless roustabout I often spend the day sleeping. This mask is not only crucial to avoiding the sun’s vile glare, but it also provides the Lone Ranger look I’ve so longingly coveted. The low-low price, velveteen sack and earplugs only sweeten the deal.

I work midnights and just can’t fall asleep if the room I’m in isn’t dark. I’ve bought so many sleep mask but none of them were quite right. Either the material didn’t block out the light or they didn’t fit close enough and stay in place well enough to keep the light out. Until now, I’m thankful to say. The Sweet Dreams Sleep Mask fits perfectly without being confining. It’s comfortable, light weight and cool and it’s even contoured so that you can open your eyes unabstructed which allows for better REM sleep I’m told. I love it and I’d recommend it to anyone.

This mask is great! I can’t nap unless it’s dark out – and this mask does the trick! I was always bothered by light seeping in on the sides of the mask and how it felt heavy on my face. This one does a great job of keeping out light b/c it is shaped to fit your nose. It also doesn’t press down on your eyes which is great.

I bought this because I couldn’t tolerate trying to fall asleep while my roommate kept working or chatting online with his table lamp on. I’m happy to say this mask did the trick quite well.

The pros are that the mask blocks the vast majority of the light, that it is quite soft, that it is rather cheap, that it comes with a free pair of ear plugs, and that the eye bulges do indeed help out as you don’t feel any pressure on your eyes (and can actually open and close them fairly comfortably).

The negative aspects are that it doesn’t block all the light–there is a crack of space at the bottom where your nose is, through which you can see light if your open your eyes, though it’s not bothersome at all when your eyes are closed–, that the string going around your head can be uncomfortable on your ears if resting against them, and that, despite being soft, the mask is still slightly uncomfortable to the face by the mere fact that it is resting there.

All of the above issues are common to all masks, and I can’t imagine a way that they could be alleviated. The discomfort to the ears can be fixed by pushing the strap up a little, while the discomfort to your face is small enough to be easily ignored.

I would also like to say that the earplugs are a great gift to through into the package. They’re not strong enough to block out the noise of an alarm clock (if you manage to keep them from falling out of your ear at some point during the night after tossing and turning in the first place), but do manage to keep you from hearing someone typing on the keyboard or rolling around his bed.

Summarily, this package has done a great service for me, and I can’t really imagine a way of improving upon it (aside from lowering the delivery charge).

This is my favorite sleep mask. I also own another (see my other reviews). The other mask may block a tiny bit more light near the nose, but this one can be lowered to do nearly as well and it is so lightweight that my face doesn’t notice it as much. There is a coolness to its thinner fabric which I prefer and hence I use it occasionally now at home since I’ve returned from my big trip to Europe. The cost is not excessive, it blocks light well (I suppose you’d have to adjust it against a slit of light near the lower end if you wore it in broad daylight) and the comfort is high. Personally, I don’t wear a mask in broad daylight. Ha! We do have an annoying streetlight outside our window, though, and on warm nights with the room-darkening shades up a bit for fresh air, this mask performs well.

I purchased these for a red-eye flight and they are great. Not feeling anything up against the closed eye allows the REM sleep to take place undisturbed. I definitely recommend these shades.
